Too many protagonists
What do you think of the GTA 6 reveal?
Was the Netflix preview everything you’ve ever wanted, or a dud?
The GTA 6 reveal has me wowed by Vice City and underwhelmed by Rockstar's same old missions
Looks like we're in for more Rockstar missions, for better and worse.

If you want to dig into side quests, you can expect a lot more
Grand Theft Auto 6’s Netflix special convinced me that Jason and Lucia will be the best GTA protagonists
Jason and Lucia will be the emotional throughline that could make GTA 6 the best Rockstar game
Your biggest choice in GTA 6 is whether Lucia and Jason stay a couple, but half-arsing it won't stop them doing crimes together
Well, would you look at that, GTA 6 is a real video game! I'm sure by the time you're reading this you've either watched the Netflix preview, watched someone else watch the Netflix preview, or it's late enough that the full thing is available for the non-Netflix having proletariat. So, how about a few extra details, like a tease about how protagonist Lucia and Jason's relationship works mechanically courtesy of Rockstar co-head Rob Nelson? Read more
Like Red Dead Redemption 2, GTA 6 is "a whole other world" where "there's a whole lot of stuff that you discover emergently"
"There is a whole other world in Red Dead Redemption 2, yes. GTA 6 is very much like that"
GTA 6 players won't be as "overpowered" as previous games: "You are not the only one capable of violence"
Things will get dangerous if you break the rules
Well, that extended look at a crime sim currently without a PC release date was heavier on gabagool than I expected
I've watched it. The extended look at the game humanity's breath is currently held for. The one that doesn't have a PC release date right now, making it hard to know how to feel about covering it extensively if, say, your job revolves around writing about PC games. For today, I've left those concerns at the door. I've taken in all the extended look had to offer. Honestly, I think I can finally see what all the fuss is about. Read more
Rockstar lead says GTA 6 takes NPC interactions "much further" than Red Dead Redemption 2, and its system is "returning and evolved"
If you liked Red Dead Redemption 2's NPC interactions, I have good news
GTA 6's apparent shift towards awkward ultra-realism is a huge risk - and that's exactly why it's the right thing to do
Scrabble together all the various, disparate nuggets of information released about Grand Theft Auto 6 since its big Netflix premiere, and you might spot a pattern emerging: Rockstar is going full, Red Dead Redemption 2 -style realism with GTA 6. In fact it sounds like it's going even further. Forget the breezy, plug-and-play, occasionally almost brainless action of previous GTAs, where you could steal any car in sight and mow down crowds of bumbling, shrieking NPCs with abandon. Forget the game you play half-blazed at 3am, or illicitly but easily aged 12, or simply on autopilot to casually unwind from everyday life. GTA 6 sounds like it's shooting for real life itself. In fact it might actually be so real that at times it's downright awkward. Read more
GTA 6 won't let you break up Lucia and Jason, no matter how poorly you treat them: "They will remain partners in crime"
So much for romance
Rockstar says GTA 6 won't let you magically hotwire every car: "You acquire certain tools to get into them"
"We have put some layers of stratification into the vehicles"
Every activity we've spotted in GTA 6's extended look trailer and previews so far
Anyone who played a Grand Theft Auto game before will tell you that a lot of the fun comes from everything you can do outside of scripted story sequences. GTA 6 looks to offer a wide range of things to do in Leonida that don't include shooting people or driving recklessly. Read more

GTA 6 has a relationship system, and it sounds as though you can make-or-break Jason and Lucia's romance

GTA 6 is revamping the Wanted system and giving you a Criminal Profile
