LEGO Nike Air Force 1 revealed!
LEGO launched a few Nike-related models last year, and one more, 43025 Nike Air Max 95, was released in March. Another has now been unveiled: 43026 Nike Air Force 1! The set includes a spaceman minifigure and shoe sculpture on a themed display stand. It contains 1093 pieces, and will retail for £89.99, $99.99 or €99.99 when it releases on September 1st. BrickLink Designer Program Series 6 Excess Stock Sale Next Week
BrickLink has recently announced that leftover sets from BrickLink Designer Program Series 6 will go on sale starting next week. These sets were extras produced for cancelled orders and to replace lost shipments. Usually these second wave of sales are very limited and first come, first served. In 2006, LEGO gave us a theme based on the show , consisting of just fourteen sets. The line unceremoniously ended in 2012, with lots of untapped potential. Decorating your LEGO space
There is no one right way to enjoy LEGO. I suspect this is why our beloved hobby has found such widespread popularity these days. We buy and build, and play and display. We collect and store, and part and sort. We MOC and show, and invest and sell. We go to Brickset and read and write, and laud and gripe. For many, our relationship with LEGO evolves over time and is often dictated by the constraints of our everyday lives. Many of us start out building, playing, tearing down, reimagining, and then building again. As we get older, we have less and less time to build, let alone design or play. As Father Time ticks, ticks away, I find it more and more difficult to keep LEGO a part of my daily life... that is, until I found my newest passion: decorating my LEGO space. LEGO Ideas The X-Files (21369) Review
One of the more anticipated LEGO Ideas sets for this year was The X-Files (21369) which just released at the beginning of the month. The set has 1,278 pieces and retails for $199.99. Minifigures There are 8 minifigures in this set including Fox Mulder, Dana Scully, Walter Skinner, Mr. X, Alex Krycek, Carl Busch, The Flukeman and a Grey alien. Mulder is in his blue suit with the shirt and tie. He also has his badge printed on the torso. His double-sided head shows him with a smile on one side and an angry expression on the other. His accessory is a brick-built flashlight. Scully has on a nougat color suit also with her FBI badge printed on the torso. Her double-sided head is pretty much the same as Mulder with the smile and angry looks. The accessory is also a flashlight. Skinner is in his typical white shirt with gray pants. Since he has a bald head, he only has a stern expression on one side. Mr. X is wearing his gray suit with a red tie. Review: 72164 Training House with Pikachu
Pikachu became the face of the vast Pokémon media franchise shortly after its creation, and for the past three decades has been an instantly recognisable icon. Review: 75455 Boba Fett
There have been a substantial number of large-scale characters produced this year, sometimes to the point of them becoming rather repetitive. 75455 Boba Fett definitely stands out from this crowded field though, potentially looking more authentic than any other LEGO statue! The vibrant colours of Boba Fett's armour work brilliantly for a model of this scale and I like the pose too, which looks fairly realistic. We have seen droids represented accurately by this kind of statue, although I doubted whether a human character, even an armoured one, could ever look as impressive as Boba Fett does.
