It appears the consequences of the recent CEVA Logistics data breach are wider than initially anticipated. Days after the company alerted Valve of the hack that affected Steam hardware customers in Europe , the shipping company has notified Pokémon Center that some of its customers are also affected. Pokémon TCG's 30th Celebration series arrives simultaneously worldwide on 16th September 2025 , and The Pokémon Company has this week given fans a look at the Pikachu cards included in the set. In case you missed it, there'll be 30 rare Pikachu cards with Pikachu numbering, and you can find one in every booster pack. Industry Legend Warren Spector Announces His Retirement From Game Development
"The game business has changed". American video game developer Warren Spector has announced he's retiring from game development, and although he's "been here before", this time he's "pretty sure" he means it. In a post on LinkedIn, the industry legend known for Deus Ex , Epic Mickey , and also his work on series such as Wing Commander , Ultima and System Shock , said the game business had changed, and admitted it's not "as much fun" for him anymore. A thing that always tickles me in a particular way is when a game takes a beloved mechanic from an iconic game that doesn't technically exist. By not existing I'm talking about something like wavedashing in Super Smash Bros. Melee. You can't play that game professionally without doing it, and yet it's just an exploit as opposed to something purposeful, but there are derivatives that directly bake it in. So, despite never playing its source (pun intended (you'll see what I mean in a second)) of inspiration, I'm quite intrigued by Clipmatrix, a momentum platformer set in surreal, industrial locales built around Source Engine bunny hopping found in the likes of Counter-Strike. "All the living things in this world await your awakening". Clever River Games appears to be teasing a re-release of Quintet's SNES RPG Terranigma , which launched on the SNES back in 1995.
