Lego Skylines' devs want your city's problems to be visible without digging into a stats screen, which means finding a "family friendly" version of showing homelessness
As pretty as Cities: Skylines is, getting a read on your city's problems can take some digging. While traffic jams are immediately visible, prompting you to start reorganising the layout of your streets and bypasses, other issues only make themselves known when you switch on overlays or bring up a stats screen. Changing that is one developer Iceflake Studios aims for colourful plastic brick-based spinoff Lego Skylines. "If there's an issue, it should be visible in the world," game director Lasse Liljedahl tells me. "Everything that you need to worry about or manage is something you should see while zooming in and zooming out and not digging deep in statistics or information screens. That's the goal." Read more

The $179.99 LEGO PlayStation Might Be The Closest We'll Get To A New Ape Escape
Arrives in October. Some of you watching yesterday's State of Play stream might have been bewitched by the reveal of the LEGO Sony PlayStation, which made its official debut in all its brick-building glory. Sony has since released additional details, announcing that the cool-looking nostalgia box will go on sale October 4, priced at €159.99 / $179.99. Made up of 1911 pieces, the LEGO PlayStation is considered an adult collectable and is thus rated '18+. Explicit'. The completed model is 10.5 inches wide, making it just under 1:1 with the original console, which took the entire gaming scene by storm way back in December 1994. The LEGO edition includes a replica of the original non-DualShock PlayStation controller and features interactive Power and Eject buttons, as well as a flip-top disc cover. The LEGO PlayStation is packaged in a box recreating the artwork of the console's first Western release. Read the full article on timeextension.com

I’m an ethical muncher in The Blood of Dawnwalker, which means I’ve forced poor Coen to slurp up nine million rats
Coen, the half-man and half-vampire protagonist of The Blood of Dawnwalker , doesn’t like chomping down on rats. I know this because he’s told me multiple times, after I’ve made him slurpily drain a rodent like it’s a furry Frube (other brands of tubed yoghurt are available). Sometimes he shudders a bit and makes noises of disgust. Other times he straight up says things like "This is not a nice thing to do". I know it’s not, farmboy whose family needs saving , but what’s the alternative? Read more
