Beatport Bans AI-Produced Tracks from Platform

Tracks found to have been made entirely or mostly with AI tools can no longer be sold via the online marketplace Beatport has banned tracks made entirely or mostly with AI tools from its platform. The company revealed last week that it had updated its content guidelines to deal with the rise in AI-produced music, and that a ban would now stop people from being able to make money from such content on the site. Tracks that have been partially created with the help of AI tools, but retain some element of being made by humans, will also now carry a tag identifying them as such. Beatport's announcement comes after the company formed a partnership with Beatdapp, an organisation that specialises in authenticating...
