Next month sees three of the new traditional scene's best perform at the Trades Club to raise money for the much-loved festival's return next year Brown Wimpenny, photo by Sorcha Frances Ryder Hebden Bridge Folk Roots Festival have announced a one-off show next month, platforming three of the most exciting names at the heart of the new traditional music scene. Saturday 19 September sees a headline show from the sprawling 11-piece collective Brown Wimpenny, as well as charismatic Lancashire dialect singer Jennifer Reid, and the progressive folk musician Satnam Galsian, who combines Punjabi folk traditions, personal storytelling and contemporary perspectives. A free open session will then be held following the acts. The night is raising funds for the full-scale return of Folk Roots Festival...
