'90s-Inspired Roguelike 'Dungeon Lurker' Unveiled With "Era-Accurate" Diorama & Website For Maximum Nostalgia
"Coming Summer 1996... Exclusively for the Eclipse System 32!". As much as we all like to pretend to be insusceptible to clever marketing tricks and gimmicks, there are always those rare exceptions where we have to throw our hands up and praise a developer or publisher for coming up with effective ways of standing out from the sheer tidal wave of new releases that clog up our inbox on a daily basis. One great example of this is the sidescrolling action-adventure roguelike Dungeon Lurker from 13AM Games, which was a nnounced earlier this week at the MIX Summer Game Showcase 2026 . Talking Point: One Year On, How Pristine Is Your Switch 2?
Scratch that. If you picked up a Switch 2 on launch day, then you've been caring for your console for almost a whole year now. Compared to those launch-day Switch 1s that some of us still have kicking around, I know that a measly 364 days is small potatoes, but it's still a mighty long time to keep your tech in tip-top condition. And that's the exact topic I want to get to today. Much like its predecessor, Switch 2's portability means that it's constantly in and out of bags, docks and cases, and that can take a toll on a few pieces of plastic and metal. Marvel's Wolverine is a more linear game than Spider-Man - don't expect a city to explore or a base to nose around in
It sounds as though developer Insomniac's Wolverine game is far narrower in scope than its Spider-Man games. There won't be a wider city to explore in the way Spider-Man swings around New York, nor will there be a base of operations for downtime between missions (any hopes of exploring Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters have been squashed now Insomniac has confirmed the X-Men don't exist here). In Marvel's Wolverine, the adventure is more of a charge from start to finish. Read more

Think you've got a handle on Mina the Hollower? Yacht Club reckons many playthroughs are "missing 50 percent of the game", and "there are a few very secret things" players are yet to find
Mina the Hollower may look like a cute and unassuming game at first glance, with its retro pixel aesthetic and demure mouse hero, but don't be fooled. Developer Yacht Club Game has hidden myriad secrets within its world, the Tenebrous Isle, for players to unearth. And even after a week of scrutiny by eager fans, it seems many of these remain undiscovered. Read more

Witcher devs' Project Hadar will make you feel all of the open-world emotions, a new job ad suggests, though sorry it still isn't a cosmic Japanese horror game
They might have proven they deal in secret extra DLC for decade-old RPG s this year, but for my money, Project Hadar remains the most mysterious game CD Projekt have in the works. It's always there in their financial reports alongside The Witcher 4 and Cyberpunk 2 , flaunting its sheer unknowableness. Its creators, meanwhile, have said precious little regarding what it looks like, aside from confirming that it's not one weirdly specific thing: a cosmic horror game set in feudal Japan. That's left the curious to scour the likes of job listings for various roles on Project Hadar. Previous ones have suggested it'll be a bit action RPG-ish and have melee combat. The latest, spotted by GamesRadar , paints it as being open-world and keen on making you cry. Read more
