Review: 43028 Olivia Rodrigo's Vinyl
LEGO announced a surprise addition to the Editions theme introduced this year, expanding a range that had previously focused exclusively on sporting icons to include pop superstar Olivia Rodrigo . While the theme's first releases celebrated landmark moments from the world of football and F1, these new sets instead take inspiration from one of the biggest names in contemporary music. Since the release of her debut album SOUR in 2021, Olivia Rodrigo has become a well-known singer-songwriter, with two best-selling album releases and sell-out world tour last year. The five new display-focused sets added to the line highlight her recognisable aesthetic of purple tones, butterflies, stars, and other recurring motifs that have become closely associated with her music and branding. I appreciate that many of us here may not be her target demographic, however! The first one I've taken a look at is 43028 Olivia Rodrigo's Vinyl, a representation of a vinyl record that can either be hung on the wall or placed on a surface, and includes Olivia herself in minifigure form. LEGO Ideas Projects Currently Under Development – July 2026 Update
With this morning’s announcement of the LEGO Ideas La Catrina (21372) , there been quite some change in the list of projects that are still under development. In the past few weeks, we had the release of the Sea Serpent (40912) gift with purchase set as well as the reveal of E.T. The Extra Terrestrial (21370) but there’s still a lot more to look forward to.
