It's the US artist's first solo LP in six years William Basinski has shared details of a new solo piano album, titled Passing The Cup Of Sorrows. Consisting of a single 40-minute piece, the new LP is Basinski's first solo full-length release in six years, and his first album of any kind since 2022's Janek Schaefer collaboration ...On Reflection. A press release confirming the new record said Passing The Cup Of Sorrows was influenced by the concept of 'Life Between Lives', "wherein a sacred exchange of energy occurs between two souls in the spirt world, helping a spirit fully understand and forgive a being who hurt them in a past life". Out later this week, it's called Before The World Blows: The Abi And Alan Experiment Erykah Badu and The Alchemist have shared full details of their forthcoming collaborative album, which is titled Before The World Blows: The Abi And Alan Experiment. The duo first announced the long-awaited record earlier this month, but it was untitled and without any tracklist information at that point. They have now confirmed that the 17-track album will feature contributions from Westside Gunn, Steve Lacy, Early Sweatshirt, Kamasi Washington, Thundercat, among others. The Featured Artists Coalition's UK Artist Touring fund is offering grants of up to £8,000 to support touring artists The Featured Artists Coalition (FAC) has launched a second round of grants in its UK Artist Touring Fund (UKAT) to support touring artists in the UK. Following a successful first round of funding that saw the allocation of £125,000 to 26 artists, enabling 211 shows to take place, this latest cycle of grants will total £300,000. The money for the fund was raised through voluntary ticket contributions at arena and stadium shows. The maximum amount allocated to successful applicants to the fund will be £8,000, or 40 percent of eligible tour expenditure, depending on which is lower. In a break with the first round...
