The duo have also announced an extensive UK and European tour for spring 2027 Photo by Manja Williams Orbital have shared details of a new album, titled Other. Following on from 2023's Optical Delusion, the new record is preceded by lead cut 'Mother, Maiden & Crone'. The song, which you can listen to below, draws on influences from witchcraft and folklore, according to a press release, and features vocals from Maxine Peake. Other is Orbital's 11th studio album, and explores themes of otherness, as the title suggests. It draws on punk, ambient music, drum & bass and the duo's traditional electronic music origins. Both albums have been remastered for their new vinyl pressings Photo by Kirk R. Tuck Butthole Surfers' albums Piouhgd and Humpty Dumpty LSD are being reissued on vinyl. Both have been remastered especially for their updated release, with the audio now available on streaming platforms and vinyl editions set to follow in December. It marks the third set of reissues of the band's material – the two previous ones came in 2024. Originally released in 1991, Piouhgd was Butthole Surfers' fifth album, and was originally released on Rough Trade. Humpty Dumpty LSD, meanwhile, was first released in 2002, and compiled loose ends from the group's mid-80s archival material. Album cut ‘Sherman (Backass Alt.)’ – later re-worked for Hairway To Steven – has been made...
