Godflesh Unveil New Album, ‘Decay’

It's the duo's 10th and penultimate LP Godflesh have a new album on the way, titled Decay. Spanning six tracks, it's the 10th studio LP from the project, and also marks their penultimate album before soon calling it quits. Justin K. Broadrick revealed earlier this year that he would no longer be playing live Godflesh shows following abdominal surgery that meant he couldn't scream or shout to the required level anymore. Decay was born from the same sessions as [2023 album] Purge,” Broadrick said in a statement about the new LP. “It was one huge pool of songs. I picked what I felt was appropriate for what I wanted to achieve with Purge, with the intention of releasing the songs that didn't fit as... Synth Allegedly Previously Owned by Vangelis Sells for Record £401,465

The Yamaha CS-80 is now the most expensive synth ever sold via auction A Yamaha CS-80 that allegedly belonged to Vangelis has sold for £401,465, making it the most expensive synthesiser ever sold via auction. The prototype instrument has no serial number, but was Vangelis' first CS-80, and was used on his 1977 album Spiral, according to the seller. A person based in Athens casually placed the item for sale via musical instrument marketplace Reverb last month, but provided no evidence for their claims about its previous ownership by the late Greek composer. There was no official document of authentication to show that Vangelis had owned it, but the seller pointed to a distinctive cigarette burn on an A key as evidence... Haruomi Hosono Shares Cover of Doo-Wop Classic ‘Sincerely’

His version of the 1954 song by The Moonglows appears on forthcoming album Yours Sincerely Haruomi Hosono has shared a cover of the 1954 doo-wop classic 'Sincerely' by The Moonglows. The song is lifted from the former Yellow Magic Orchestra member's forthcoming album Yours Sincerely, which he announced in May and marks his first full-length release in seven years. Hosono's version of 'Sincerely' sees him recreate the original cut with an acoustic guitar backing. In a statement, Hosono said: "Since the theme of this album itself is the spirit of sincerely – a closing salutation – I could hardly leave this song uncovered. The original lyrics, written by Alan Freed, are a love song expressing intense yearning. But for this 'Sincerely', I wanted...
