It’s been a very active past week on LEGO Ideas as a dozen new projects have reached the Second 2026 Review Stage . This was more than the previous few weeks combined and we’re now up to 45 projects that have hit the 10,000 supporter goal. LEGO Insiders Days 2026 Coming July 7-12
LEGO Insiders Days 2026 is coming next week and LEGO has revealed some of the promotions that will be going on during the event. First is the LEGO Ideas Sea Serpent (40912) which will be available from July 7-12 with general purchases of $180, while supplies last. The other gift with purchase promotion is the LEGO Airplane (5010053) which is also available from July 7-12 with purchases of $100 of City , LEGO Creator 3-in-1 , and/or Friends . This set was originally available at airports that had LEGO Brand Stores inside. There will also be sales during Insiders Days for select sets and we can also assume there will be sets that earn extra Insiders Points as well. Review: 40912 Sea Serpent
6057 Sea Serpent was released in 1992 and the vessel remains very popular today, as an outlier in the Castle theme. A modern iteration won the LEGO Ideas A Twist of Nostalgia contest last year and that design has been modified further, resulting in 40912 Sea Serpent. Certain features of the original set are instantly recognisable on its successor, including the essential crenellated handrails and decorated sail, but the translation has proven contentious in other regards because its shape has completely changed, relative to the 1992 design. LEGO has officially revealed the next LEGO Ideas set with E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (21370) . Releasing on August 1 ( pre-order today ), the set has 1,226 pieces and will retail for $139.99. Hello! Lucas from @bolt.builds here, fan designer of 21348 Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon's Tale. Having a design on LEGO Ideas being chosen out of many fantastic submissions back in 2022 was definitely an honour. Then, witnessing the process of its design at LEGO and seeing it out in the stores and people’s hands was also truly special. Since the beginning, I’ve been thinking of giving something back to all the people who enjoyed and supported the set by voting or buying it. Each of the 22 drivers will have their own LEGO go-kart that is fully driveable and made up of 28,000 pieces. When you buy 42232 Koenigsegg Sadair's Spear Megacar at LEGO.com this week, you'll receive the 228-piece 40894 Koenigsegg Sadair's Spear Steering Wheel as a gift with purchase. I am still part way through building the Swedish supercar so I am not ready to review it yet. It arrived just before it was announced, which coincided with a heatwave here in the UK. I built the first few bags in the garden, but then it became too hot to carry on out there and too hot indoors as well. I've cracked on with it this week, though, and must have spent 10 or 12 hours on it in total, and I still have four bags of the 31 to do. It's a long and challenging build, that's not to be rushed. Two new LEGO Botanicals sets announced!
LEGO Botanicals continues at pace with two more sets arriving on August 1st. 11512 Hanging Golden Pothos contains 372 pieces and will cost £54.99, $59.99 or €59.99, while 11513 Dark Flower Arrangement costs the same and includes 562 pieces. LEGO has officially revealed a new gift with purchase set coming soon with the LEGO Ideas Sea Serpent (40912). This was the winning build for the A Twist of Nostalgia building contest. It is an updated verson of the Sea Serpent (6057) from 1992. It will be available starting on July 7 but there’s no details yet on the price requirement to get it.
